BAILEY FORD

Bailey Ford is 13 and lives in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina. She started taking karate
with Cass Sigmon in the fall of 2012 and fell in love with sparring. She participated in her first
tournament in the spring of 2013 losing her first match which left her devastated but determined.
From that moment on she trained very hard winning several small tournaments that fall which
lead her to participate in her first Super Grands located in Charleston, South Carolina in
December, 2013. Bailey competed in her underbelt division as low seed winning eleven straight
fights to take home her first Armature World Title home from SKIL. Over the last three year she
has participated in countless tournaments in major cities such as Orlando, FL, Atlanta, GA,
Charleston, SC, Charlotte, NC, Richmond, VA, Chicago, IL, and Detroit, MI. In 2015 Bailey
qualified and made the WKC Team USA, she competed in her first international tournament in
November, 2015 finishing with a Bronze medal in continuous and team sparring.
In January of 2016 Bailey began training with Joshua Page at Hickory Martial Arts, this
was a huge transition for Bailey but she has adjusted well, advancing to her brown belt in
August, 2016. She had the privilege to except a position on Team Revolution in April of this
past year with Mr. Conell Loveless who has been a wonderful coach and mentor to Bailey. Just
this past December Bailey won her first NBL World Title Championship in Black Belt
continuous sparring. Throughout the year, Bailey has traveled to train with World Champions
such as Gina Thornton, Sean Elliot and Brian Plempel.
